This is a local event of international standards and a foodie’s dream come true!  It’s one of Australia’s most prestigious truffle events and is held at Manjimup every year in June. More than 70 per cent of the black truffles produced in Australia come from the Southern Forests region of Western Australia and so provides the perfect location for such an event.

For the third year running, the Truffle Kerfuffle will again lure thousands of visitors to the area from the 21st to 23rd of June 2013. Along with some of Australia’s best chefs you can experience a fantastic day filled with delectable food, wines and of course truffles.

Food inspiration is drawn directly from the gourmet produce of WA’s Southern Forests region. Guests will enjoy noshing on small plates prepared in ‘pop-up’ kitchens and Master Classes by a host of local heroes.  The weekends festivities include:

Truffle Festival Day

The Saturday event is a day festival highlighting regional food and wine. Pre-purchased entry tickets are $15 a head or $20 on the day with children under 12 for free. Wine tasting glasses are $10 per glass and can be purchased at the door.

Truffle Hunts

If you’d like to experience the Truffle Hunt, a shuttle bus will depart the Truffle Kerfuffle festival (at Fonty's Pool) every half hour from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm arriving alternately at Manjimup Truffles and The Wine & Truffle Co where you can be part of a Truffle Hunt and guided tour of an operating Trufferie.

The Truffle Kerfuffle Gala Dinner

 In the evening on Saturday, the very prestigious ‘Food Bowl’ gala dinner is held with tickets priced at $180 a head. The Gala Dinner will wind up the 3rd Truffle Kerfuffle in true indulgent decadence and style. Delectable truffles, alongside an abundance of fresh seasonal produce will be prepared by innovative chefs from award winning Australian restaurants and be paired with premium local wines.

Due to the very high demand  - a 4 course Gala Dinner has now been scheduled on Friday 21st June.
